Subscribe for Delay Notifications

With Ontario Education Number (OEN)

Parents of students who have an OEN:  Sign in via the ‘Parent/Student sign in’ button on our website or using the With OEN box below. Once logged in, you will have the option to subscribe and link your child(ren)’s bus routes to your subscription.

Without Ontario Education Number (OEN)

For parents without an OEN, use the Without OEN box below to subscribe. Then you’ll need to manage your subscriptions to add your child(ren)’s bus route.

Instructions

  1. Click on ‘WITH OEN’ button above or click here.
  2. Type in your Student Information and click ‘Login
  3. Type in your E-mail address and click ‘Subscribe
  4. Open the email you receive from ‘inquiry@haltonbus.ca’ (please check your junk mail folder) and validate your subscription by clicking ‘confirm’.
  5. You will be prompted to enter a password then click ‘subscribe’.
  6. You are now subscribed for email notifications for the student you signed in with but still need to add any other students you have.

Manage Your Subscriptions With OEN #

  1. Log in to your account here.
  2. Select ‘My Children‘ to view the student’s linked to your account.
  3. To add additional child/children to your email subscription and view their busing information, click on ‘My Children’ and click on the ‘Add’
  4. Type in the student’s OEN number, Street Number, School and Grade. Click on the ‘Add Child’.  You will see the name(s) of the student(s) you have added. To verify your subscriptions, click on ‘My Subscriptions’, and click on ‘Run Delays & Cancellations’. You will see the list of routes/runs you will receive notifications for listed under ‘Current Subscriptions’.

You will automatically be subscribed to receive general notice emails and notifications when all transportation is cancelled due to inclement weather.

Instructions

  1. To sign up for a subscriptions click here
  2. Type in your email address and click ‘Subscribe’.
  3. Open the email you receive from ‘transportation@haltonbus.ca’ (please check your junk mail folder) and validate your subscription by clicking ‘confirm’.
  4. You will be prompted to enter a password then click ‘subscribe’.
  5. You are now subscribed for email notifications but still need to add which bus routes you wish to receive information for.

Manage Your Subscriptions Without OEN

  1. Click ‘Subscriptions’link on the ‘Delays & Cancellations’ page or (you can log in to your account here)
  2. Click on ‘My Subscriptions’ and click on the ‘Run Delays & Cancellations’ button.
  3. Select ‘Route #’ and click on your child’s Route # from the drop down lists and click ‘Find’.
  4. Click in the ‘Add’ column beside your child’s school and click the ‘Subscribe’ Please remember you must repeat these steps for both the AM & PM bus route #s and any children you may have on a different bus.
  5. To verify your subscriptions, click again on ‘My Subscriptions’ and ‘Run Delays & Cancellations’.  The bus route #s you have subscribed to will be listed under ‘Current Subscriptions’.

You will automatically be subscribed to receive general notice emails and notifications when all transportation is cancelled due to inclement weather.

Please note: Once your child receives an OEN (usually first progress report), you can update your subscription to be linked with your child(ren) and not simply the bus route number.  This way if/when your child’s bus route changes during the school year or in future years, the subscription will automatically update to your child’s current route assignment.
