Submitting the Request Form
The request form will be available for the upcoming school year annually May 1st through to September 30th, and should be completed by the parent/guardian.
Halton Student Transportation Services (HSTS) will commence the review and allocation process starting October 1st.
HSTS is unable to commence processing in September as implementing and coordinating transportation services for eligible students is the priority in September. Student ridership counts are also performed at the end of September in order to record accurate student numbers on the buses, these counts ensure HSTS accommodates the maximum number of courtesy seat applications as possible.
The outcome of the courtesy seat allocation process will be communicated to parents by October 31st.
Temporary changes on an ad hoc basis or for a limited time, such as switching buses to visit friends, are not considered as courtesy seat requests and shall not be approved. Please review procedure HS-3-017 – Temporary Day Riders or contact your child’s school for further assistance with temporary requests.

The below request form is intended specifically for students who would be supporting or accompanying siblings with special needs while travelling to and/or from the same school.
